The running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has told Ghanaian youth not to curse the country with their thumbs by voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He believes that it would be a misfortune for the nation to have a past president who, as a mere mortal and unable to keep the lights on for four years, was unable to create jobs.
“So you’re going to vote for the NDC? You’re going to use your thumb to bring curses upon the country. Because if you cannot cater for the kids of the country, if you cannot find jobs for the kids of the country, if you cannot fight for the betterment of the kids of the country why then do we elect you as the president of the country?
Yesterday I was in Jomoro and the President was cutting sod for a new industry coming up. It is going to employ 780,000 Ghanaians. Phase two will be double phase one, phase three will be double phase two. Eight years ago, it was dum, dum, in fact, the dumsor started with President Mills before he died. But eight years under president Akufo-Addo, we’ve experienced eight weeks of dumsor,” he stated.
