The Nsawam District Police Command has commenced investigations into a shooting incident involving a military officer part of Security personnel detailed at a Lockdown Barrier mounted at Doboro near Nsawam.
The incident happened Friday Morning around 8:00am.
According to a witness, the ridder refused to stop when ordered by the security to do so after bypassing the barrier through an unapproved route
The Military Officer in an attempt to shoot the tyre of a motorbike to deflate it mistakenly shot the rider.
He first shot the motorbike but the second bullet hit the rider.
The Nsawam District Police Commander, DSP Marian Adu -Osei has confirmed the incident adding that investigation is ongoing.
