Russian company Kamaz is set to open a heavy vehicle assembly plant in Senegal.
The company is known for producing heavy-duty military land vehicles used for civilian and military purposes.
The new factory will focus on the production of civilian and military heavy-duty vehicles, including Typhoon-K armored personnel carriers and Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles.
Senegal has become one of the companies key export markets and has bought 167 vehicles to date, although they are mainly used for container transport.
