Acting chairman of Concerned Youth of Kwahu, Ayim Benjamin, has thrown more lights on the allegation that has led to the resignation of Kwahumanhene , Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong ll.
Daasebre stepped down as the Board Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank PLC( ADB) following allegations of bribery and unethical conduct. The resignation , which took effect on October 11,2024, was prompted by a directive from the Bank of Ghana.
Ayim Benjamin discussed in an interview with Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem on Bryt FM how concerned youth have united to address every issue pertaining to their area. He continued by saying that after learning of what had occurred, went for a peaceful walk and wrote to the traditional council.
According to him, the youth want the queenmother to talk with the Adontenhene about the issue.
“They should address the chieftaincy since he is the paramount chief and they don’t want any disgrace to come to Kwahu “.
“If the issue is true , what are they doing, if it is not true they should let the concerned youth know about it so that they will know what to do “ Mr Ayim stated.
The youth group has, however, given seven (7) days ultimatum to the traditional council to address the issue in which she (Queen Mother) promised to do so.
The youth again sent another letter to Nana Adontenhene, Abetifi Akyenfo Asiedu Agyemang lll but indicated the seven (7) days ultimatum is too early.
Mr. Ayim used the opportunity to advised the youth to be patient and wait for a feedback from authorities.
