“If care is not taken Parliament will be controlled by drug barons and Makola women as it has been reduced to the highest bidder”, Collins Owusu Amankwah, the former MP for Manhyia North.
The former lawmaker speaking on Bryt fm Adekyee Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sam Biney on Speaker’s declaration of four seat vacant, Mr. Owusu Amankwah emphasized that Ghana’s politics has been turned into monitization with those who can offer much are been considered to lead the various parties during their internal primaries.
As a victim, the experienced politician also blamed party delegates for thinking about their personal interests than that of the whole constituents as they (delegates) choose parliamentary candidates for the various parties.
However, Mr. Collins Owusu Amankwah spoke against actions of party members who have decided to go as independent candidates in the December Parliamentary elections.
