Farouk Al-Wahab, Security and International Diplomacy Expert has questioned why the country should spend more than 60% of the national security budget on the Bawku conflicts.
He has, also, queried the input Bawku contributes to the economic development of Ghana for the country to spend so much on needless conflicts that should have been dealt with long ago.
Commenting on recent chaos in Bawku that led to the death of some residents, Mr. Al-Wahab was hard on political leaders from the area as well as indegenes of the area for failing to allow peace to reign after almost 40 years of chieftaincy dispute that has derailed the development of the area.
He expressed disappointment at successive interior Ministers who are mostly from the area but has failed to address the issue due to their political preferences.
