The 3rd Session of the Ghana-Netherlands Political Consultations was held on Tuesday, 29th October, 2024 in Accra at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
The discussions focused on cooperation within the United Nations system, regional and political security situations, human rights and good governance, trade, investment and development among others.
The Coordinating Director, for Political and Economic of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ambassador Mrs. Jennifer Lartey and H.E. Aldrik Gierveld, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, co-chaired the meeting. In her opening remarks, Ambassador Jennifer Lartey acknowledged the stronger bilateral ties between the two countries and was hopeful that the political consultations would further strengthen the relations between Ghana and the Netherlands.
The Ambassador-at-Large of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Aldrik Gierveld assured that he would work to further enhance the relations between Netherlands and Ghana and expressed his country’s recognition and appreciation of the important role Ghana plays on the African continent.
