Irene Sam, President of Parents Association (PA) of Ghana has expressed worry as to why government should exclude teachers from the mother body, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
She was of the view such action by the government has had negative effect on the activities of the various senior high schools across the country
Speaking to Kamina Sam Biney on Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem on the issue of expired and contaminated rice supplied to SHSs on Tuesday, Madam Irene Sam expressed worry at the situation as the health status of students can seriously be affected.
Despite commending government for the implementation of the Free SHS policy, she called for reviews to ensure the challenges that come with the policy are well addressed.
“My brother, the Headmasters are afraid to even complain about the challenges they go through for fear of getting transferred or facing ‘in-house’ punishment. There are a lot of issues with the policy but government is not ready to listen” she added
