The New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate in Akuapem South Constituency, Hon. Eric Yeboah Apeadu has recently made significant contributions to the educational sector in the Akuapem South Municipality, particularly through his support for teachers during the recent Teachers Awards ceremony.
Recognizing the critical role that educators play in shaping the future of the community, Hon. Apeadu established an Educational Fund aimed at providing financial assistance to teachers.
During the awards ceremony which was held Friday night at the Aburi PWCE Auditorium, he announced the launch of this fund, which is intended to support teachers in various capacities, including professional development, classroom resources, and other educational needs. His initiative reflects a commitment to enhancing the quality of education in the municipality by ensuring that teachers have the necessary tools and support to perform their duties effectively.
Hon. Apeadu also awarded the Best Non-Teaching Staff with a Television set, GHc 5,000.00 cash and GHc 10,000.00 from the Educational Fund for Capacity Building.
For the Overall Best Teacher in the Municipality, Hon. Apeadu awarded him with a Double Decker Refrigerator, GHc 5,000.00 and GHc 10,000.00 from the Educational Fund for Capacity Building
He also supported all teachers present at the event with a sum of GHc 30,000.00 as transportation back to their various destinations.
Hon. Eric Yeboah Apeadu who was once a teacher in the Constituency appreciated the challenges faced by teachers during their line of duty and assured that his administration will prioritize Teacher Motivation and Development to alleviate the challenges of Teachers in the Municipality.
He assured his continuous support to the Teacher Awards and promised to even make it better next year.
