Tensions have escalated at the Electoral Commission office in Abuakwa North, where three individuals were reportedly shot by armed men alleged to be National Security operatives.
The incident occurred when supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) confronted a taxi suspected of secretly transporting thumbprinted ballot papers into the Electoral Commission premises.
Angry youth have since gathered at the office, pledging to resist any actions they believe are aimed at altering the outcome of the election.
They claim the NDC parliamentary candidate, Charles Yeboah, has already won the seat and accuse the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of attempting to rig the results.
Security forces are on high alert as efforts are underway to restore calm to the area.
