Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, NDC has vowed to deal with unscrupulous military personnel, deployed to cause mayhem and disrupt the declaration of parliamentary results in some constituencies.
According to the former President, ‘This is to caution the personnel involved that they will be held individually liable and responsible for their actions”.
Saturday’s presidential and parliamentary elections was characterized by pockets of actions by some military personnel who were seen on video having ugly encounter with electorates.
The Ghana Armed Forces had pledged not to deploy personnel to the various polling stations, but rather would be stationed to act as a back up in terms of any unforseen circumstances.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mahama in a Facebook post assured Ghanaians that any personnel found guilty would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Two persons are reported dead in Saturday’s elections.
