Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensah, has reaffirmed the Commission’s
commitment to safeguarding the democratic principles of Ghana.
Speaking during a recent address, she assured Ghanaians of the Commission’s dedication to upholding the will of the people in all electoral processes.
“Our mandate is to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility in elections. We remain resolute in
serving the interests of the nation and respecting the choices of the people,” Mensah emphasized.
The Election Commission (EC) has also called for patience from the public as it works meticulously to
finalize and declare the official election results.
The EC assured that the process is being carried out transparently and accurately to maintain public trust in the electoral system.
Officials emphasized the importance of ensuring the integrity of the results, which may take
additional time due to the verification and cross-checking procedures in place.
The commission has urged all stakeholders to remain calm and refrain from speculation while the
counting and validation process continues.
