The Works and Housing Minister, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Agyei received a delegation from the European Union led by its Ambassador to Ghana, H. E. Irchad Razaaly.
At the meeting, Ambassador Razaaly disclosed of the EU’s intent to fund water supply projects in the Northern Regions of the country, in line with the signed framework agreement between Ghana and the EU.
Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei expressed the government’s gratitude to the EU for its support towards country’s water sector, particularly in rural and small-town communities.
The sector Minister indicated that the provision of water infrastructure is in sync with the government’s desire to expand water supply in communities such as Tamale, Yendi, Sang, Savelugu, Pong Tamale, Diare and its surrounding areas.
