On the 25th of February, Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang received a delegation from the World Trade Center of Philadelphia, led by Nana Obokese Ampah I, the Apagyahen of the Asebu Traditional area.
Nana Obokese explained that the collaboration with the center has resulted in the establishment of a 100-acre real estate development in the Central Region, known as the Nkunim Diaspora City.
The city provides homes for people looking to settle in Ghana.
The president of the center, Mr Thomas Young, expressed his appreciation for the audience and discussed the upcoming Diaspora Property Expo.
In her address, the Vice President stated that it is important to have collaborations that serve all parties.
She asked the delegation, as an example, to explore the possibility of having Ghanaian investments and interests in Philadelphia as well, so as to make our relationships even more equitable.
Professor Opoku Agyemang and the delegation also discussed the importance of ensuring that the Nkunim project fosters integration among the various members of the community.
