Following the death of Miss Yabani, the primary suspect is her boyfriend, with whom she had been experiencing relationship troubles throughout the week.
On the day of the incident, the girl reportedly went to the library with her boyfriend and two other friends to study. After returning, their arguments reignited.
The two friends left the couple alone, and the argument escalated. It is alleged that the boyfriend struck the girl, causing her to fall to the ground.
CCTV footage from the campus captured the entire event, showing the boyfriend using his knee to strangle the girl for five minutes until she was lifeless. He then dragged her body from the open area into a nearby bush.
Unfortunately for him, he wore the same dress shirt during the incident as he did when he attended his exams later that day, making it easier for authorities to identify him as the murderer.
