Dozens of buildings at Jumapo and Suhyen in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern region have been ripped off by violent windstorm which was accompanied by rainstorm.
Many houses, shops and drinking spots had its roof ripped off displacing occupants and disrupting economic functionality.
The affected persons were seen salvaging items such as mattresses, electrical gadgets,electronic equipments, clothes, among other properties affected during the incident.
Staff of the National Disaster Management Organization was in the community yesterday for assessment of the incident.
