A.M.A NPP Chairman Loose Seat

The hope of a charismatic leader with unbeatable leadership records was turned down for Mr. Frank Anim Bediako who was seeking re-election as Constituency Chairman for the Asene-Manso-Akroso Constituency of the Eastern Region in the Constituency Delegates Conference.

Mr. Frank Anim Bediako who was eyeing the District Chief Executive Position pulled 105 votes against 352 votes for Mr. Kojo Effah Sampson and 62 votes for Mr. Appiah Boateng Richard.

Before the Delegates Conference, Some Party members called for the arrest of Frank Anim Bediako, for allegedly duping people by promising them government contracts.

One of the aggrieved members, Jonathan Offei Duodo, said Chairman Bediako collected a sum of GHc120,000 from him in giving a gold business for about 6months now, and nothing has been done about it.

Another victim identified as Michael Kumi who was a manager at Rodo Filling Station in Anyinam in the Eastern Region also alleged that, Hon. Bediako allegedly collected fuel from the company in a sum of Ghc11,000 in doing a project.

In January 2018, five persons sustained gunshot wounds following an attack at the home of the Akyem-Akroso NPP Chairman at Oda.

The five according to Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh are among 200 youth of Akroso who besieged the house of Frank Anim Bediako the NPP chairman of the Constituency, to disrupt a meeting with other party members.
