Five young men were killed by an angry mob at Nhyinawusu, near Nhyinhini in Atwima Mponua in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
According to reports, the five were attacked at the palace of Nyinawusu.
The five young men who have been identified as Fatawu, Mustapha, Maxwell, Tonsu, and Kojo were on their way to sell gold to a buyer when they were chased by some people in the community who alleged that the five were thieves.
They were subsequently caught and sent to the palace of Nyinawusu to be queried by the elders of the community.
A group of irate youth in the community upon hearing the five have been sent to the palace rushed to the palace to attack the alleged thieves.
The elders of the palace had to put the five in a room as the irate youth started throwing stones at the five.
The irate youth broke into the room and brought the five out. They beat them up to death, beheading one.
