Together with the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif, Francis Asenso Boakye commissioned a new AstroTurf sports facility in Ohwim Amanfrom, in the Bantama constituency.
This state-of-the-art complex marks the fourth (4th) of its kind in the constituency which I have had the pleasure of facilitating.
The initial three (3) pitches are the Bantama Lebanon Club Astro Turf Pitch, Abrepo Junction Cocoa Ase Astro Turf Pitch and Bohyen Abaase Astro Turf Pitch, all within the constituency.
This is because the Constituency haa prioritized youth and sports development as a socio-economic development strategy in my constituency.
The MP also had the opportunity to announce his decision to name the new facility after and in the memory of the late former Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, who had suddenly passed a day before.
“I thank the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, Mayor of Kumasi, Sam Pyne, officials of the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), and all other stakeholders for their support in making this project a reality” Hon Asenso Boakye stated.
