Aggrieved residents of Atonsu in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region have expressed their anger at the Asokwa Municipal Assembly led by the MCE, Hon Akonuasa Gyimah, the Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency, Hon Patricia Appiagyei (Sompahemaa) and NPP government for preventing drivers who operate at Atonsu High School Unity Oil Terminal.
According to the residents, they are struggling to walk from High School Junction to Dompoase Junction Lorry Terminal before accessing a vehicle to wherever they are heading which is very painful, especially for the children and old aged.
Addressing the media at a press conference, they expressed worry about how the MP did the same thing at KMA and sent the NPP into opposition in the 2008 general election.
They, therefore, gave authorities a week ultimatum to allow drivers to operate at the Unity Oil Terminal else, they will demonstrate against their actions to express their disappointment.
