Residents of Bouho-Nsuom, a community in the Afigya Kwabre South district of the Ashanti region are living in fear over increased robbery attacks and quarry blasting destroying their homes.
A resident Wofa Yaw indicated the activities of the quarry companies have affected their properties and created a lot of inconveniences for them.
In an interview with the media, residents lamented their houses have developed deep cracks with roof damage from flying stones as a result of the blasting.
“We again calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr, George Akuffo Dampare to come to their rescue as armed robbers have taken over the town” residents pleaded.
Opinion Leader, Elder Kusi on his part, lamented that the lack of police posts is spearheading crime and insecurity in the area and appealed for police posts that would enable the police to respond to the high incidence of crime in the area.
