At the meeting with the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Afua Asabea Asare touched on some projects GEPA embarked on that contributed to the increase of 17% of the 2021 Non-Traditional Export (NTE) earnings.
She also touched on the Export School building project which will be situated in Kumasi to give fundamental training on exports to enable exporters meet international standard requirements.
Her Deputy in charge of Operations and Finance, Mr.Sam Dentu mentioned that GEPA will be putting up an Impact Hub which will serve as a one stop shop for all export related activities.
Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah was excited about the working visit and the initiatives of GEPA. He expressed his excitement about the NEDS which he sees as a policy direction on the way forward for exports.
He added that his office is ready to give all the necessary support needed to fully implement the initiatives GEPA is putting together for the Ashanti region.
