Angry shoe makers at Nana Afia Kobi Market (Abinkyi) in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti region numbering about over 3,500 are threatening to shut down their work over collapsing of their business.
According to them, the cost of their raw materials are always keeps on increasing day in and day out.
Addressing the media by the Association Public Relation Officer, Mr. Henry Nyarko, he said, the government should do proper arrangement with the exporters of their raw materials because they always increasing the cost of their raw materials without the increase of dollars.
He added that, they also contribute more in the development of the Ghana economy but the government has denied them in every policy.
They are, therefore, appealing to the government to come to their aid if not they will all shut down their work to increase the unemployment rate in the country .
