In his quest to end unemployment and poverty among the youth of Offinso North constituency in the Ashanti Region, Member of Parliament for the area Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development has established a Vocational and Technical School at Nkenkensu to train most youth.
In order to boost the capacity of the school and materialize his dream for the Youths, Hon. A.C. Ntim in collaboration with the Offinso North District Assembly has donated ten (10) pieces of Industrial Machines, Hand Sewing Machines, Knitting Machines, and Hair Dryers totaling forty (40) equipment in all to the “Yaa Pokuaa Community Development Vocational and Technical Institute at Nkenkaasu to aid their practical studies.
Presenting the items on behalf of the MP, Hon. David Kwasi Asare Boakye “Adwumawura”, and award-winning DCE for Offinso North advised the School management and students to put the equipment to proper use to serve its intended purposes.
Receiving the items on behalf of the School, Madam Elizabeth Aboagye a Tutor at “Yaa Pokuaa Community Development Vocational and Technical Institute appealed to other Organisations and well-meaning individuals to also come to their aid.
Meanwhile, Nana Afriyie Boateng, Kyidomhene of Nkenkaasu pledged the support of Nananom to protect the equipment and called on all the youth who have not enrolled to do so for their own future betterment.
