The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Emmanuel Galo has dump the party said to have disassociated himself from been a member following the treatment meted out to some key members in the party including himself.
It would be recalled that, “I have been invited to an emergency Central Committee (CC) meeting on Friday, 1 April 2022, by Nana Frimpomaa”.
“It was obvious that the meeting had a quorum-challenged. As such, Article 73 (b) of the party constitution was abused” he stated.
He added “I wish to also refer to Article 82 (f) of the same constitution, to state that, the said officers were not notified prior to the meeting”.
“It is important to note that the meeting started before the interdiction agenda was introduced. And for the record, Hon. Emmanuel Galo, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party was not in favor of the motion to interdict Cdes: Onzy Nkrumah, Nana Yaa Jantuah, and Osei Kofi Acquah” Mr. Gallo alleged .
