Dr. Christian Addai- Poku, Registrar of National Teaching Council of Ghana Education Service has advised teachers in the country both at the public and private schools to take the licensure exams seriously, as education has been dynamic and the way forward demand professional ethics and recognition
He made this known during the Culture and Carols Night Program by Salve Regina School at Abuakwa- Apemhase in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality of the Ashanti region.
He commended the ruling government and Ministry of Education for massive reforms in the educational sector, more importantly for the introduction of the teacher’s license.
Dr. Addai-Poku, therefore, challenged teachers to assist the government in its policies to ensure the sector is well reformed for the benefit of school children.
Afterward, Mrs. Lucy Addai-Poku, Associate Executive Director of Salve Regina School stated some of the challenges facing the school as attributed to poor road networks from Abuakwa- Canaan, Apemhase-Abakomadi and appealed to the government to complete the road networks to help indigenous staying in the area.
She commended teachers for their immense contribution to the academic and mental developments of students at all times despite the challenges.
