Fear has taken over traders of Acheamfour Lorry terminal due to what they describe as harrasment from heavily built men.
The traders say going to theor normal daily routine has become a nightmare as they don’t know who is next to be assaulted by the macho men.
After the death of the owner of Acheamfour Group of Companies, ownership of the market has become a bone of contention between his wife and family.
About three weeks ago, some thugs forcibly sacked workers from offices and locked up the place.
As if that was not enough, intimidating traders and workers of the Lorry terminal has become a routine.
The persons behind the recent influx of macho men to the terminal are unknown but innocent traders are assaulted without any provocation.
Wednesday morning an attack which happened at 7:00 am heightened the fear of the traders at the facility.
In a press conference held today, Workers at Akyeamfuor Lorry Terminal and some traders say, the macho men identified as Sarfo and Opoku besieged the premises of Akyeamfuor Lorry Terminal and beat some of the workers as well as the traders .
According to them, these thugs always come there to drag the traders from their various shops.
Meanwhile the General Manager of Akyeamfuor Group of Companies, Collins Anokye said, the Ghana Police Service and IGP George Akuffo -Dampare must intervene before something bad happens at the terminal.
Management of the market have officially lodged a complaint at the Ashanti Regional Police Command for their intervened.
