The Chief Justice and Advisor on Religious Affairs and Peace Relations to the President of the State of Palestine, Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, held discussions with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) on Monday, 21st July, 2025.
In briefing the Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa, Dr. Al-Habbash recounted the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the quest of the people to live in peace.
He informed that Palestine prioritises protection of people, need for humanitarian access and peaceful co-existence.
On his part, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa assured that Ghana will continue to support international efforts geared towards a just, peaceful and lasting solution as well as humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of Palestinians.
Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, commended Ghana for its respect for international humanitarian law. He stated that effects of conflict including the loss of lives and its impact on civilian population particularly women and children is devastating.
He then reiterated his country’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and strengthening diplomatic ties between Palestine and Ghana.
