On Wednesday, 9th July, 2025, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) received Open Letters from the following five (5) non-resident Envoys accredited to the Republic of Ghana:
i. H. E. Conrad Vincent Mederic – High Commissioner-designate of
Seychelles
ii. H. E. Citizen Jesús Albert Garcia – Ambassador-designate of Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela
iii. H. E. Gonfouli Souariba – Ambassador-designate of Chad
iv. H. E. Maximin Mangoualamangoye – High Commissioner-designate of
Gabonese Republic
v. H. E. Maria Da Conceicao De Souse Pilar- Ambassador-designate of Portugal
The Honourable Minister congratulated the Envoys on their appointments and reaffirmed the Government of Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with their respective countries.
Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest such as trade, agriculture, education, health, tourism, among others.
The Open Letters of H. E. Maria Da Conceicao De Souse Pilar was received by the Chief Director of the Ministry on behalf of the Minister.
On their part, the Envoys assured of their readiness to contribute their quota during their tours of duty to further deepen the ties between Ghana and their respective countries.
