An Otolaryngologist, Dr Kenneth Baidoo has advised Ghanaians particularly the youth to abstain from oral sex in order to reduce throat cancer.
Oral sex, usually talk about oral intercourse, sexual intercourse involving the stimulation of the genitals of a person by another person using the mouth (including the lips, tongue, or teeth) and the throat.
According to him, the high practice of such activity leads to a high risk of getting throat cancer.
Dr Baidoo lectured in an interview that plenty of the younger generations between the ages of 30-40 are involved in oral sex and it has led them to throat cancer.
”We are getting quite a number of people coming with throat cancer,” he stressed.
He also added that if the condition is left for a longer period before detection, it can result in long term risks like jaw explicit therefore we must avoid oral sex.
