A Municipal Chief Executive aspirant in Abuakwa North was tricked by a fake leaked list of MDCEs allegedly to have been settled on by President Akufo Addo.
Alhaji Umar Bodinga who is the Eastern regional first vice-chairman of the governing NPP as aspiring to become MCE for Abuakwa North was seen jubilating with his supporters at Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern region.
Alhaji Bodinga was seen in white apparel powdered by his supporters.
However, the list was later said to be fake.
There is apprehension nationwide among supporters of the NPP over the nomination of MMDCEs.
Seven months into the second term of President Akufo Addo, MMDCEs are yet to be nominated.
