Residents within the Agbogba electoral Area enclave have called on the attention of the Ghana Police Service to widen their Scopes on crime check within the enclave.
The Chairman of the Landlords and Residents association, Rev. David Onokwafo in an interview with Okogyeabour Ocran, says, the enclave is taken over by Crime and other deviant behaviors which have brought a lot of tension and fear.
Speaking to the media after a fund raising Ceremony towards the building of Police station around Agbogba Akatsi Abor, Rev. David Onokwafo elaborated the need to have a Complete police station to curtail the ascendency of Crime.
The program saw the representation of the Police, Assembly and the Leadership of the residents association.
He added that, it’s so worrysome to see police Personnel operating in a Container in such a highly Populated area which he sees it to be unfavorable for the men to police the area.
He maintained in his assertions that, there are about five (5) Police Posts in the area but all are in abandoned state without any established reason.
He therefore appealed to the inspector general of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to provide them with men to foil the activities of the Criminals in the area.
Touching on the building of the Police station, he appealed to Government, NGOs, individuals and Philanthropists to come and support the building because, their lives are in Limbo.
CUE….CHAIR ON PUBLIC
On his part, the Assembly member for Agbogba electoral Area, Denis Mensah Sowah in his assurance note said, he will also do his best to convey the concerns of the people to the Ga East MCE, Elizabeth Kaakiemann for proper security arrangements to be put in place.
