Businessman cum politician, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is asking who is responsible for filth in the capital city of Ghana, Accra.
In a Facebook post, the former flag bearer of the of the Convention People’s Party and founder of Progressive People’s Party was questioning why Accra keeps becoming filthy and dirtier day by day.
According to Dr. Nduom, there is the need to vote for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and all Assembly members.
“Right now, those appointed to run Accra have failed. The President who appointed them must find their replacements who will clean up the city and make its environment beautiful. Otherwise, the problem sits on his shoulders” he stated.
His post below:
Accra Dirty Accra?
So, who should we hold responsible for the filthy and dirty City called Accra? House fronts turned stores, kiosks of all types abound. Public spaces overgrown with weeds, with garbage uncollected etc.
From Ridge to Ring Road on the way to Kasoa? Hmmm. I can’t close my eyes and keep quiet about filth that insult my senses. I can only imagine what what goes through the minds of the tourists we are going to great lengths to convince to come to Ghana.
This is why it is necessary for the people to vote for their metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives and all assembly members. Keeping our common environment clean and healthy would be one key factor the people will consider in deciding to vote for a chief executive.
Right now, those appointed to run Accra have failed. The President who appointed them must find their replacements who will clean up the city and make its environment beautiful. Otherwise, the problem sits on his shoulders.
