A 7-year-old girl has been locked in a kiosk with her dying mother at Tantra Hills in Accra.
The destitute stricken family is reportedly from Koforidua but living in their current place of abode.
“According to information reaching Accra based Dadi 101.1 FM News has been kept indoors since childbirth in a kiosk at Tantra Hills. Unfortunately, her mum Yaa Mary believed to have come from Koforidua has been bedridden for months without medical care meanwhile the man who was staying with them has moved out and only come to give food to the little girl and leave afterward”
“Some persons who overheard the moaning of Yaa Mary before realizing there’s someone still living in the kiosk. It appears for so many years, this little girl has never seen light and was so lost when they pulled her out of the room this evening. Her appearance clearly shows it’s been a while she had a bath, they ease themselves in the kiosk, eat in the kiosk, and still sleep beside it through day and night without light” Abena Pokua Ahwenee, Morning Show Host on Dadi FM has said.
She added “Just this evening the man got so furious meeting the girl at the compound and dragged her back into the kiosk. He gets furious with anyone who tries to interfere but some neighbors are worried and feel it might be too late to save the mother and daughter hence their resolve to contribute this evening to get some medication for the bedridden Yaa Mary”
The girl, according to the report, is malnourished and looking pale that needs medical care and support. Unfortunately, she is still locked in the Kiosk.
“We need your help to save this beautiful girl and mum before it’s too late. Please share till help comes our way. God bless us all”.
