An eleven-member delegation from Tanzania has paid a 2-day working visit to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) to understudy the modules of operation of the National Health Insurance Scheme.
The delegation made up of Members of Parliament and the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) was received by the Deputy CEO in charge of Operations Mrs Vivian Addo-Cobbiah.
The visit afforded the Tanzanian team an opportunity to receive a first-hand briefing on operational strategies employed by the Authority in the management and sustenance of the NHIS for the past 19 years.
Leader of the delegation and Commissioner of Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA), Baghayo Saqware lauded the NHIA for sustaining an exemplary Scheme and expressed their gratitude to the NHIA for extending their knowledge base on the health insurance scheme to the Tanzanian Team.
