The Acting Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare together with some members of the Police Management Board has commenced a working visit to Eastern Region.
The IGP as part of the visit to the Eastern Region will be interacting with Police officers in the various District and Divisional Commands to establish challenges that have become an impediment to their work for redress and above all boost morale
The first port of call by the Acting IGP on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, was the Kwahu Obo Palace where he paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Kwahu Obo Osabarima Afari Oboagyan II.
The chief of Obo Kwahu, Osabarima Afari Oboagyan II commended the acting IGP for his hard work.
He requested the Police administration to provide police barracks for Police Personnel to augment efforts by Chiefs and people of Obo to build a police station for the police.
The Acting IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare assured that the laws of Ghana will be fully enforced to maintain law and order in the country.
According to him, the Police Administration is poised to protect lives and properties from criminals and enhance the safety of the citizenry.
“We will not make noise. We will let our actions speak for us. We will deal with miscreants lawfully. We are committed to enhancing the integrity of the Police Service and make it attractive and boost public confidence. Nana let me assure you that, the laws of Ghana will work. Criminals cannot stay they will run but we will arrest them” He said.
The IGP was accompanied by the Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong, COP Ken Yeboah, Director General CID, an indigene of Kwahu Obo, and other members of the Police Management Board.
