A team from the Ada Traditional Council paid a courtesy call on Hon. Samuel Nartey George(MP), Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, inviting him to chair the prestigious Asafotufiam Festival. This annual celebration, held in the first week of August, commemorates the bravery and resilience of Ada’s warriors in historic battles.
During the visit, the traditional council congratulated the Minister on his appointment and pledged their unflinching support throughout his journey.
They described him as the pride of the youth in Ada and a role model, expressing their confidence in his ability to drive progress and development in the communication and digital technology sector.
The council also briefed the Minister on the significance of the Asafotufiam Festival, highlighting its cultural and historical importance to the people of Ada. As Chairman, Hon. Samuel Nartey George is expected to play a key role in promoting the festival and showcasing Ada’s rich cultural heritage to a wider audience.
