Leader of National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, has advised citizens to adhere to the precautionary measures meted out by the Ghana Health Service and World Health Organisation (WHO) to prevent getting infected.
He also called on the law Enforcement Agencies deployed to desist from brutalizing civilians as they enforce the President’s directive.
Mr. Mahama on his Facebook page acknowledged the efforts of some philanthropists who have gone out to support and provide some essential items to the less privileged.
“I wish to commend especially the NDC members of Parliament, our Parliamentary candidates, and executive members for responding positively to my call to step out and show compassion and charity to their constituents during this bleak period in our history.”
Recently, President Akufo-Addo said “Fellow Ghanaians, the cases of localized infections require that we maintain strict self-discipline, and continue to practice prescribed social distancing and enhanced hygiene protocols in all aspects of our daily lives. We must wash our hands regularly, use alcohol-based sanitizers, stop shaking hands, and avoid unnecessary close body contact. I am pleading with every one of you, comply with these measures. Our survival is in our own hands.”
