Aduana Stars goal poacher Yahaya Mohammed has expressed his side’s readiness to compete in Africa in the event the suspended 2019-20 season is annulled and representatives for Africa declared.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Ghana Football Association in March took a decision in relation to government’s directive to ban all manner of public/social gatherings in a bid to curtail the spread of novel coronavirus.
With hopes of an imminent resumption dashed following the government’s decision not to ease all restrictions at a go, pressure has been mounting on the GFA to swiftly decide the fate of the football season and subsequently declare which clubs will represent Ghana in the CAF Inter Clubs Competition.
Speaking to Koforidua based Bryt FM in interview, the former Kotoko striker revealed how prepared his outfit are should the Ghana FA select the Dormaa based club to represent the country in Africa.
The fire boys before the suspension of football were sitting on 2nd position with 28 points on the league table.
However, if the Ghana FA decide to truncate the league and select reps for Africa from this season campaign, it means Aduana Stars will get the nod to play in Africa.
In spite of that, Yahaya Mohammed has emphatically stated that he and his charges are 100% ready to compete in they are selected for Africa.
