Asante Kotoko striker Steven Desse Mukwala has been handed call up ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Mukwala makes the squad for the Cranes doubleheader against Tanzanian later this month after explosive display for the Porcupine Warriors.
The Ghanaian giants have received the invitation from the Ugandan FA and the player is expected to join for the upcoming games.
Mukwala, who joined the Porcupine Warriors before the start of the 2022/23 season has been outstanding, scoring 8 goals and winning four Man of the Match awards.
The Cranes will first host the Taifa Stars at the St. Mary’s Stadium-Kitende in Entebbe on March 24 before the reverse fixture at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam four days later.
Since making his debut in 2019, Mukwala has capped 10 times for the Ugandan national team.
