A motorbike rider identified as Baba is battling for his life after a near-fatal accident.
The accident occurred Thursday, March 26, 2020, at 9:00am on Forifori to Fosu stretch of Ekye to Tease highway in Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred when the motorbike rider overtook a taxi ahead of him but suddenly bumped into a heap of sand put in the middle of the road by a contractor patching potholes on the road.
The victim who was not wearing helmet lost control of the motorbike and acrobatically rolled off to crash on the tarred portion of the road.
He suddenly became unconscious but regained consciousness after passengers onboard the taxi he overtook quickly rushed to save him.
He was put into the tax amid blood oozing from his head and elbow and rushed to Forifori Health center for first aid while awaiting the ambulance service to convey him to a Donkokrom Presbyterian Hospital.
