The Chief Executive of the Ghana Library Authority (GHLA) addressed participants at the opening of the 5th Annual African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) Conference and the 7th African Library Summit, currently underway in Accra.
His address on the theme “Future of Learning, Libraries, and Sustainable Development in Africa” inspired and stimulated discussions on Africa’s transformative potential in the delivery of library services.
Hon. Rev. John Ntim-Fordjour, the Deputy Minister of Education, officially opened the conference.
Together with the CEO of GhLA and the leadership of AfLIA, they explored new approaches for libraries to affect the future of education and support sustainable development across the continent.
