Food and Agriculture minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto is reported to have resigned from office, according to a reliable source.
He resigned on Tuesday December 10, 2023 morning after several rumor of his intention to resign today.
His resignation comes barely a week after Trades and Industry minister, Alan Kyeremanten also resigned from office.
Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto has come under serious pressure to resign after declaring his intention to contest the Flagbearer position of the ruling NPP.
Meanwhile, Government is yet to officially communicate his resignation to Ghanaians.
