Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong has had a fruitful engagement with the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) when they called on him last week in his office.
The discussions focused on the Import-substitution Industrialization Policy and how Government can support and protect the interest of emerging indigenous manufacturers in Ghana.
The leadership of AGI appealed to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to create synergy between production and industry that will culminate in an increase in raw material production to feed the industry.
The GAI was led by its President, Dr. Humpherey Ayim-Davke. The Association with about 1200 members is made up of small, medium, and large-scale manufacturing and services industries.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon Bryan Acheampong assured AGI that, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) is developing a Strategic Framework to address the emerging issues for industries.
He indicated that GAI thoughts and inputs will be solicited to ensure that the framework reflects the thoughts, vision, and objectives of industry players.
