The Principal of Dadiesoaba Nursing And Midwifery Training School in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region, Madam Martelina Teni Kwose has appealed to the government and other authorities to come to their aid and help to fence the school.
She said, the school currently has a population of about 607, made up of Diploma and Registered NAC students.
She complained the school need more hostels to accommodate students and also indicated because the school is not fenced, intruders come in and out at any time to pick up used sanitary pads and pants from the students.
“Also people get easy access to the school and disturb them even during classes hours” she stressed.
Speaking at a matriculation ceremony to admit 286 freshers into the college, Madam Martelina Teni Kwose added the school’s population is increasing but its facilities are inadequate.
She, therefore, stressed the high cost of electricity bills and the inadequate of tutors to help facilitate learning.
She revealed that “Due to these, the internally generated fund is not enough to cater for the school”.
