Chief Imam at Nkaseim in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region, Alhaji Usman Mohammed has advised Muslim youth to desist from violence and its related activities since it tarnishes the image of the Islamic religion.
“Violence has nothing to do with Islam, those doing so in the name of Islam are doing so on their own. Those doing so should desist from it as it tarnishes the image of Islam” he advised.
Speaking to the media at Nkaseim during the Eid -Ul Fitr celebration, Alhaji Usman stressed that Islam means peace and has nothing to do with violence and therefore appealed to the youth who engage in such acts to stop.
He bemoaned how most youth in the Northern part of the country who bear Muslim names but are not Muslims and called on such people not to involve themselves in activities that will disgrace the Islamic religion.
