The timely blood donation exercise organized by Ahafo Regional Management of the National Health Insurance Scheme rescued blood shortage at Goaso Government Hospital Blood bank Hospital in recent times.
The Goaso Government Hospital which serves as Ahafo Regional Hospital has been complaining of blood shortage where pregnant women and accident victims have been the most affected with some of them reportedly losing their lives while waiting for relatives with compatible blood to donate.
The Ahafo Regional Management of the National Health Insurance Scheme as part of the 20th years anniversary celebration of the scheme blood donation exercise in Goaso to support the hospital saves lives of citizens.
The Blood Organizer of the Goaso Government Hospital, Mr. Yaw Sarfo (King Do) said doctors at the facility are battling to save lives with understocked blood banks.
King Do therefore appeal to the chiefs and people of the region to volunteer themselves for blood donation exercise.
