Fire Service Rescuers from the Bechem Fire Station responded to a distress call at 1345 hours on November 10, 2025, following a road traffic accident at Kwasu, off the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region.
A rescue team of seven (7), led by ASTNO Kwaku Doe, was dispatched to the scene, where a Toyota Voxy with registration number AS 6403-25 was involved in the crash.
Out of eight (8) occupants, two (2) were found dead at the scene and handed over to the Police, while six (6) others were rescued and transported to the Bechem Government Hospital by the National Ambulance Service for treatment.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The affected vehicle suffered massive damage.
