Vegetable Growers Association in the Tano South Municipality of the Ahafo region is lamenting over high prices of agrochemical inputs in the area,
Chairman for Tano South Vegetables Growers Association, Mr Ellia Opoku Afriyie in an interview with the media said prices of agrochemicals is expensive for farmers to afford.
He hinted that some agrochemicals prices have been increased by 100%-150% and indicated that, during the major season in 2021 mini bag of fertilizer was Ghc50 but is now selling at Ghc200.
He thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for Implementing the Planting for Food and Jobs program and urged the government to make available markets for farmers when they harvest their products.
