After a successful maiden edition, the second edition of the National Stem competition Stemnnovation, came off at the University of Ghana Cedi Hall on 14th and 15th November, 2023.
This contest, designed exclusively for Senior High Schools across Ghana, aims to foster innovation, critical thinking, and excellence among students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum took the stage to applaud the efforts of all participating schools for their contributions to STEM education in Ghana and to emphasize the importance of nurturing a culture of innovation among students.
“STEMNOVATION 2023 witnessed the participation of numerous qualified schools that navigated through preliminary rounds to earn their place in the highly anticipated finals. After an impressive display of ingenuity and skill, Ahafoman Senior High School emerged triumphant, claiming the coveted first position in the competition.
Congratulations once again to Ahafoman SHS for their championship, Wesley Grammar for securing the second position, and Bosomtwe Girls STEM SHS for coming third.
The Ministry of Education looks forward to continuing initiatives that inspire and empower the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers in Ghana” he stated.
